Maddie Everett is a Legal Intern at The Law Office of Kim M. Gillen, P.C. and a native of Carbon County, Pennsylvania. A 2024 graduate of Palmerton Area High School, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, History, and Global Security Studies at Syracuse University.
At Syracuse University, Maddie’s academic and professional interests center on law, advocacy, and public service. She serves as a First-Year Seminar Peer Leader, Student Panelist on the Academic Integrity Board, and Co-Coordinator of the Mock Trial at Syracuse University’s Trial Advocacy Program, where she helps support and organize student participation in litigation-focused advocacy training. She is also a member of Kappa Alpha Pi, a national pre-law fraternity, and Pi Sigma Alpha, political science honors society. In addition, Maddie will be serving as an Immigration Law Intern with the Hiscock Legal Aid Society in Fall 2026, further expanding her experience in client-centered legal work and immigration advocacy.
Through her academic, leadership, and legal experiences, Maddie has developed strong skills in legal research, advocacy, public speaking, and case analysis, with a focus on practical litigation skills and service-oriented lawyering.
In her role at the Law Office of Kim M. Gillen, P.C., Maddie assists with legal research, drafting legal documents, case preparation, and client file management. She values the opportunity to gain hands-on legal experience while serving clients throughout Carbon County and surrounding communities.
Following graduation, Maddie plans to attend law school and pursue a career in the legal profession, with a continued commitment to public service and advocacy on behalf of her community.
